i’m not making any guarantees and i swear that i have an entry somewhere in here already but i’m talking about a not-for-profit organization called ecosia. they are a search engine available in pretty much every major web browsing platform and as far as i know they haven’t burned any casual, legal web surfers out there. the way it works is this. they partner with for profit web searches and donate pretty much all of the funding they get, probably minus the operating expenses to help denizens of simpler countries maintain autonomy and a bit of dignity by planting greenhouse gas inhaling, life sustaining oxygen exhaling trees in the struggle to extend the life of our species even though scientists these days have us thinking methane is an even more dangerous greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide and plants don’t breathe that so think about that bovine gaseous fart vengeance next time you go to butcher. like i said, i don’t have all of the answers… you know how the saying goes believe none of what you hear and half of what you see and with the advent of deep fakes and ai that is none of what you hear and none of what you see. the situations they claim to be “remedying” also are the precipitant of human beings doing the same thing they are doing, just in the name of greed… but it just seems like the simplest way to a righteous vibe so don’t overthink it. excuse me as i steal youtube videos on two entries in a row. you can find the ecosia search engine in the browser extension store of your browser of choice. i mean these dudes are chopping trees for eight hours straight a day in the african heat and digging through animal dung to find seeds to cost effectively plant. ignore the eric benet looking beige brother hosting the video. i do get an engagement metric for you watching the entirety of the video on my host site but as usual, full transparency… not a dime as far as i know because it’s a youtube video.
