you know with a little hacking, it’s not that bad. i see you noticing that’s approximately native interpolated resolution… sherlock, you are truly gifted. right now i’m using a combination of beelzebub and devilutionx saved over eachother they won’t break your game permanently but they do conflict, one just overwrites all the files from the other. i’m doing this as a public service because blizzard is not steam, they do not issue refunds. so, if your into digital, golden age of interplay big box pc games you plunk down your 10 dollars and your stoked… you get even more excited when you hear that atmospheric acoustic guitar music setting the scene… one problem, the game only takes up one fourth of the screen. the fix for this is very simple, even more simple if you use devilutionx… you download the zip compression file, extract it, and drag and drop everything into your root folder, that’s it. as far as the aggravation of having to double click the icon every time you want to play you can pin it to the taskbar. blizzard doesn’t endorse it, they even checked mine to see if it was a legit copy. after that, with devilutionx your ready to experience a diablo hobby project 20 years in the making. i do believe he has a patreon… but the guy a latte or somethin’.
ok, forever tinkering except when it comes to this website which i refuse to believe i’m not getting some sort of benevolent, true intellectual help on. if you want a slightly lower resolution, true to vanilla, more enjoyable game your mod is devilutionx. if your one of these muppets who feels like less of a man unless his games are harder than two year old desiccated feces, your mod is beelzebub, but just know this is a “one or the other” choice, they do not play nice together. i’m sure you could have figured this out on your own but i’m pretty sure the “add or remove program” command works well with diablo or your can delete and reinstall from the blizzard app. just make sure that in addition to that you delete the root folder before you start over… sorry. actually, i haven’t seen a reason to completely start over you can probably just drag and drop the files again and when the “overwrite” prompt comes up on the scene, prompt yes and play with the file set you just installed.
