gears one reloaded is here… have you ever heard of a remake of a remake? visuals are a nuance if you know the franchise, and if you haven’t already, check your copy of gears 5… hella content and microtransactions but we usually expect epic to finish what they start anyway. its like white and red wine on the visuals.

i don’t know what combination of products that you had to buy to get the reloaded new remake of gears of war one free, but i do know it’s bangin’ and the crazy part is that it is also compatible with the Logitech f310, a pc exclusive… i would imagine direct x tooled, controller that’s been around for years, and with no console competitors the wired version is twenty bucks. i really don’t like the paradigm that this is setting for the industry but it promises to be an interesting ride. i didn’t have an xbox series x so i was fronted with the p.c. version which, again if your hardware is right, is arguably a better choice than the xbox version. the development platform for the ip is unreal 4, same developer, the coalition, but the way that the unreal 4 platform works financially it allows way more leverage to a client than maybe a Microsoft as i do believe they work on commission, even on this scale. this is one of those games that never gets old. even if you missed the free offer at 40$ American its probably the cheapest game on your new console that you’ll actually play. gears of war is no stranger to being a straight up anomaly when it comes to visuals, and this is no different and Microsoft is not blind, they know their customers are looking for something practical to game on. i mean, maybe as an apology for how dirty they did us with the whole games for windows deal, they sold the first remake of gears and if you played a multiplayer match within a certain time window you got the entire saga, gratis… maybe that is in the works. a dude can only wish.
