one last thing, check this out, the image is from the verge so chances are it’s legitimate, look at what you did. no words, yes, that’s exactly what you think it is, i wonder what you’ll be able to play on it, we all suggest reverse engineering… i mean seriously. it’s not even april fools, i had to look. of course with his arm twisted behind his back, but the price is projected to be more than a lower mid range p.c. price and you guys don’t touch type so your gonna hate it. if the design on the front didn’t tip you off, this is supposedly the prototype of the homogenous steam machine. at a price point above that of a mid range p.c. how mr. newell is going to pull this off is beyond me. pondering further, probably pockets full from the incredibly successful reception of the deck handheld, but instead of trying to justify the manufacturing of his respective console like his more interested in a deal to survive the Trumpception of the american dream competitors, steam is leveraged with a decades deep library that is entirely digital and pretty much requires no reverse engineering to advance with you through your digital life as long as you keep the ability to upgrade your desktop every few years. now doing that with a console is a thing, i dropped out of the console space but i heard phil spencer when he proudly proclaimed it. being another console doing that, and having done so with p.c.’s for years… i once again see the vision. if he’s in a good mood he might even shine some of that “bang for your buck” light on you that covid and the supply line issues totally snuffed out. but for the moment what constantly rings in my ear is “overpriced mid range p.c.” and since he threw us in the pool in 2004 with half-life 2 mr. newell has never been in the business of traveling backwards. but with the consolized profile of the steam big picture mode and the hotcakes addictive success of the steam deck, all the elements are there, but look up the term “externalities”. however, you know who’s in the shadows drawing up blueprints and scale models, so i’ve been playing less video games, not like i can significantly change my life but it just doesn’t feel right.
