remember that phil collins joint, so chill that DMX sampled it. i mean, if you’ve been stalking me your aware of the fact that i live near central florida, and the prophets, false or fake that have been trying to lead us with no definite answers that they wanna divulge anyway… about the nature of God or the Gods depending on who you ask and either our refusal to believe or our lack of knowledge of how to remedy our minor situations are leading to some serious situations. i mean, in my twenty plus years of living in gotham, nyc to the uninitiated, i have never heard of their being a rainstorm so severe that it floods an airport, a historical portion of that airport, in the interest of full transparency, that the commuters within have to remove their shoes and socks.
i don’t pray enough, i really don’t, because that was a tropical storm. we can talk about maui, we can talk about the surfside condo in southern florida that collapsed a couple of years ago, it’s crazy cause it seems like the years bleed together when your not doing a thing. fact of the matter is that they have been category fours and fives all over the place that something, someone spared me from. my luck is probably not gonna last forever, because when you hear tell of a cat five hurricane barreling in your direction, and even among atheist a hurricane that strong is still officially called an “act of God.” most likely when they have to calculate the payouts for the dead… hunkering down in a house with no basement is not the most intelligent thing to do.
i had no idea how close i came to losing my life that year, which i don’t remember, just understanding that it was less than five years ago… but like i said rest easy, my luck is not going to last forever… how does it feel to be the bearer of light to a self fulfilling prophecy that you’ve been greedily awaiting for centuries. if i was totally sure that God was cool i wouldn’t sweat it but i’m not. and the other fact of the matter is that when men create conditions and ignore flaws that destroy the only terrestrial home that our bodies are conditioned to live on… then backstep and try to correct those problems, unless they can mimic God, unless they can figure what whatever religion they follow is trying to tell them about what and who the God was when the straight path to immortality was a bilateral issue. mother nature is just going to continue to whip our ass.
