i know i’m pretty much working for free ranting about my interests but forgive me… all i can do is beg. i have also rediscovered the mod offerings of one of my younger days favorites, dragon age… now here and with alot of mod situations your going to find that vortex mod manager, (nexus mods in house mod manager) is the most linear path to where you want to be with the mod that you are working with. i’ve found a few curated sets of mods that i hope are playable all the way through. the first that i got to open up was the essential set of mods and it did add much needed diversity to the armor of the enemies and also unfortunate changes in balance that made it necessary for me to turn down the difficulty to easy. it also comes with an equally diverse collection of avatars and hairstyles. nothing like the oblivion remaster or anything but there are two curly afros in the mix. however there is super saiyan hair for years in that piece. there was also another collection where you start with a traditional german style officer dress as does your mother if you remember the beginning of the first game, which made dragon age an epic exit to a notable pair in the doctors with the blood on parchment theme that hallmarked it. the first neverwinter nights was aurora, the second was electron and the third i believe was eclipse… but let us not forget that we are dealing with dudes who despite their innocuous canadian looks made infinity engine games where you played the demigod children of the “Lord of Murder” and the classic MDK, i’m not even taking it there but MDK featuring a janitor in a supersuit and a six legged dog. i’m loving the mods when i can stand the balancing, because like i said… if the characters in your game truly embody the element of roleplaying in game… it’s like programming 3 plus games at the same time, if only in nuance and not complete environmental background. which they did in this case. anyway, you can’t contact me if your 9 bucks of juice wasn’t worth the squeeze, but if you’ve been doing this for a while you might find a way, besides the occasional steam winter sale, of keeping yourself from going insane in the cold, you’d be surprised how one of these community curated modpacks can significantly transform the feel of a game for the cost of a fancy latte.
don’t believe the hype it’s cold here,
ummi
