starting in may, i’ll probably be taking a 3 or 4 month hiatus to save some money for a better plan and handle some other things. if it works out well, i might consider trying to maintain my near non existent following here. the store will probably remain functional, not sure about that though. it’s just really to give you something else to do while you read my dry blog. don’t forget to pay uncle sam and stay frosty.
As for the continuing drama with my razer edge, the installation of custom firmware on that thing is beyond me plus installing a micro sd card into the wifi version which I have is the way easier way to go. I have the premium version of redream and ppsspp installed on the device so far. i have to admit that i’m curious about ps2 performance on aether and gamecube performance on dolphin but ps2 discs are 4 gig dvd’s. but, Lord willing, I cracked the code on the thing for my use case. I was seriously considering paying 17 dollars a month financing and 80 dollars a month data for what is basically a stylish, glorified cell phone because I didn’t know how to sideload games onto the unit. the wi-fi version is 199$ and doesn’t play p.c. games or play games that require data on the go but is half the price of the low tier steam deck no additional charges, no plan. a little advice, when you attempt to open the cell phone sled door do not, for those of us who never had one of these things, do not pry on the hole… press the thin paperclip into the hole carefully and the door will pop right out. I know I said this before but I felt it deserved repeating. I have about 6 fifteen year old consoles side loaded consoles loaded on my edge right now, which costs me 199.99. the self-imposed streaming console deal that verizon has imposed on this device is insane. all i can say is i found out a way to get it to work for me… and what that means is. imagine if you could buy one of these less competitive emulation boxes with a snapdragon 888 processor for 200 dollars… nuff said. for me, the magic medicine was the external micro sd card instead of trying to get the device to work with the double usb-c that came with. after some research on what should path where, and a quick download of daijisho from the google play store… right as purple rain.
