hoave you watched the news lately? there are groups of people by that damned border fence rolling those dice trying to get into this country. they carry with them the dreams of their children and better lives, dreams of a new existence in a country where their life actually means something more than it did when they were in the autocratic states that drove them to exile… i would imagine a good amount leaving behind relatives and familiarity to work for a comfortably ensconced group of good ol’ boys and spanish speaking employers who use them just as harshly, a good amount of them glad to be used. why are we afraid from the poor, possibly even to the blue blooded of us nervous, especially if you speak spanish and are fairskinned or morena and have that pretty (child in a glass box,) hair? because fifty or sixty years ago, that was us. displaced, moving up north for opportunity,.. doing the unspeakable to get down and get up… our parents will never tell us. but lets get down to brass tacks. what i want to know is where is this bridge crossed where these individuals truly believe they are Americans? you’ve done what a good deal of us have, which, being brought up a Jehovah’s Witnesses but being a follower, i endorse that modified stars and stripes all day.,, being unemployed am i worried about my future? hell yeah i am. really i’m not the most beautiful individual on this planet and you need to know in your tik tok celebrity the idiocy that the news loves to keep you clueless and sedated with. if you ever notice, if you watch the news. i watch a good deal of nbc news live and whenever the newscaster on assignment to a latin country, provided they’re latin themselves, pronounces anything having to do with their culture they add that little inflectional head nod, now i know what an inflection is but inflective is not a word so i had to check myself… that’s why i say youth is wasted on the young. our point of relevance as african americans is ebonics… i’m not saying that there is shame in being country but you have to realize, in our economy, for the conservative right… that damn wall that a good number of your mexican latinx brothers have been waiting in tents and making babies inside on course to a rude awakening makes your argument absolutely moot. when i was in college, as one of my electives i took child psychology. evidently, to you it’s not an introspective red flag that you speak one language on a sub par level with a vocabulary limited to idioms and colloquialisms and vernacular. however, one of the things that i was taught in this class was that children are especially receptive to language pretty much from when they are born to when they are five years old. believe it or not so what am i saying? this… that if you search hard enough you can most definitely find unusually intelligent children with obsessive, overachieving parents who already speak two or three languages well enough to carry on simple conversations, which will most likely become more complex conversations and with age and feelings of exclusion and personal abuse, whether it be sexual or verbal… lack of respect or proper compensation, become that bitch/bastard that runs light speed saturn rings around you that dry that sweat clean off your slacking forehead. i mean, there’s no way that your more intelligent boys laugh at you and not with you and your corny “content,” and speak english and spanish religiously to that liliputian replacement job candidate. there’s nothing we can do about it. lord forgive them for they know not what they do. what i’m trying to say is that basically your parents have cursed you with exclusivity and i doubt any of your gente want to hear it. so enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame on tik tok. and don’t let anybody tell you that your not special.
