my broke ass braggin’ about unique things that I picked up off of the internet before the ever looming covid crisis and women who witness death every day in overpacked urban cities (cause that’s who felt the brunt of it,) having nervous breakdowns in hospitals full of people who wouldn’t even get to hold the hands of their relatives as they slipped out of this reality to the next. you should be happy to hear that two of the three 60% keyboards in my collection shorted out, I don’t want to destroy the female usb A sockets in my motherboard so I have to exercise restraint but I do a bit of practical collecting as i am average enough at touch typing to be effective in any setting that would accept me which down here is none with the abundance of wavy hair, brown/blonde, and green/ blue eyes, i type a decent 40/50 words per minute. unfortunately but the tragedy also included my ducky one two “year of the pig edition,” which I was really torn up over. however I did acquire a used, basically old new stock daskeyboard tenkeyless. they still deal with cherry mx, i believe, and these dudes get as much love as they do hate. the thing was i loved the silhouette of the keyboard but the browns, as is, when i first got it left a lot to be desired. brown mechanical keyboard switches are said to be quiet, with a light tactile bump that is supposed to feel like a cross between a clicky but in most cases trash blue switch, and a red switch. now, not saying the switches weren’t that when i first got it but they weren’t lubricated and had this scratchiness to them that made them feel horrible. As for lubrication, even if i had the time and the skill to do so I wouldn’t. here’s where the life hack, (which I don’t recommend, especially on the more electronically complicated skus,) comes in. you know the afro sheen hair spray that us african american’s used to use to make our afros more pliable and easy to comb? liberally spray the surface with the aerosol and give it a few days. with continual usage, (if it doesn’t short out.) the switches will begin to feel like everybody raves about when they evangelize the gospel of brown switches. i thought about silicone spray lubricant or wd-40 but figured they would be too thick. anyway that’s my two cents for the day, enjoy your weekend.
