Neo Geo AES is receiving an accurate re-release…

this is probably going to be one of those annoying progressive entries… but yes, you heard that right. the neo geo aes is receiving a 250$ American baseline release. with a few different premium packages and sku’s releasing along with it, snk is ambitiously distinguishing itself from the toy re-releases of the genesis and the nintendo, this essentially being a modernized version of the ridiculously expensive hardware that all of us lusted for in the ’80s. again, priced from 250$ dollars for the base sku to $1000 dollars for the full spectrum, everything but the kitchen sink version of the console. expect quality of life improvements like dipswitches for controllers and display modes and wireless functionality depending on which sku you decide on. this is more adequate fan service for gen x’ers than anything else because with that muscle car console price point of 600$ dollars for the console and 200$ dollars a piece for the arcade accurate cartridges, none of us were getting it. explained simply, if you don’t know what a sprite is, and would rather play zelda, this is not for you. the console, if it makes it to the market this november is going to be what it was in the 80’s and it going to launch supposedly with just 10 games at 90$ dollars a piece. if nothing else it’s a good reason to try and find a good crt tv because they plan to make a sku that operates off of RCA cables. of course the system is slated to release near christmas on november 12th for those of you who aren’t dealing with furloughed employment and working for free through christmas but if you are totally out of touch rest assured, your child will prefer a current generation console over this if he doesn’t already have one, this is not some tariff hammer, expensive console hack as i am sure you know.
